PreCOP26 SUMMIT - MILAN (Italy) - SEPTEMBER 28/OCTOBER 2

❌ COPs HAVE FAILED, still everything has to change ❌

Next month #Milan will host the #YouthCOP (28-30 September) and the #PreCOP, 30 September - 2 October, a preparatory meeting to the #COP26. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and exchange views on some key political aspects of the negotiations that will be held in #Glasgow in November. The leader of about 40 countries will meet for the 26th time to talk about #climatechange.

Extinction Rebellion Italy will be in Milan too.

Because this is humanity last chance to avert climate chaos.
Because what they'll talk about in Milan will affect the decisions taken in Glasgow.
Because they have been meeting for the past 25 years, achieving nothing and letting that business as usual took us all down this path of chaos and desperation.
XR Italy will be in Milan because governments and the media are not telling the truth and are taking decisions about our lives behind closed doors.

This is why we Rebels from Milan and Italy, invite international Rebels to come to Milan and join us for this rebellion week.

👉 Starting the 29th there will be several actions ⚡️ along with other events co-organized with other NGOs.
👉 From the 30th to the 2nd there will a Climate Camp ⛺️ where it will be possible to be accommodated and where many activities will take place - see program here (http://extinctionrebellion.it/eventi/?slug=milano-climate-camp-climate-justice-platform), still work in progress.

💰 Note that we are planning to partially refund travel expenses. Our Policy states that anyone who consciously thinks to need some financial help is eligible to apply. Applicants could be refunded a sum up to the cost of a Flixbus ticket bought at least three days in advance. We can't promise anything, though, but we'll do our best!
